Workshop on 3D – Printing Demonstration

The department of Mechanical Engineering has organized an Workshop on “3D – Printing Demonstration” for our students from 22.03.2018 to 28.03.2018 for IV year students and 02.07.2018 to 20.07.2018 for III year students. Our Chief Guest Mr.M.Chithrarth, CEO, Founder, Exclamertric Technologies, Chennai interacted with mechanical students. 3D printing or additive manufacturing is a process of making three dimensional solid objects from a digital file. He explained the creation of a 3D printed object is achieved using additive processes and an object is created by laying down successive layers of material until the object is created, each of these layers can be seen as a thinly sliced horizontal cross-section of the eventual object. He also explained 3D printing enables you to produce complex shapes using less material than traditional manufacturing methods.
