To organize and conduct activities of interest of the members such as holding of meetings, arranging of lectures. The tribological performance of systems, whether nano, micro or macro-scale, depends upon a large number of external parameters and important among them are temperature, contact pressure and relative speed. This focuses on the theoretical aspects to industrial applications of tribology. Tribology society of India (TSI) was set up as a professional, non profit body bringing together academicians, industry as well as research organizations as its members to promote the science of tribology. To provide a common forum for Industrialists, engineers, technologists, scientists and others to meet and to foster the advancement of tribology. To disseminate scientific and technical information of interest to the members through publication of periodicals, reports etc., and proceedings of conference. To collaborate with other national and international bodies pursuing similar aims and objectives.
