The department of EEE has organized a Webinar titled “Opportunities for Engineers and Expectations from Industry” on 12th May 2020. Resource person Dr.Umashankar Subramaniam, Professor, Prince Sultan University, Riyadh. In his address, explained the current trends and various opportunities for young engineers in all sectors. Electrical engineers are specialized in power supply and generation. They have jobs in design, develop, test and supervise electrical equipment manufacturing discipline. They have also been trained to handle responsibilities like the wiring and lighting installations in buildings, automobiles and aircraft. Electrical engineers may undergo further training or education in order to qualify for a position that will enable them to supervise a team of engineers and technicians. It may also qualify them for management positions. They can either be program managers or engineering managers. 70 internal and external members were participating in this webinar, from this they know the various opportunities available in our field and today’s industry expectations.
