Workshop on “Control panels and testing” – 5th July 2019

The department of EEE has conducted a One Day National Level Workshop on “Control Panels and Testing” on 5th July 2019. Resource person Er.Baskaran santhanam, Control Engineer, General Electrical and Electronics Solutions, Salem delivered his speech, about the switchgear components, different types of control panels, testing includes checks on Certificate Number, Heat or cast Number, Chemical composition, Heat treated condition, NDE applied and results, Surface finish and their controlling techniques. He also explained the third party inspector checks that all instruments, compartments, control switches, etc. are correctly rated and are correctly located, with specified labeling in accordance of approved drawings. Our department II, III, IV year 85 students are participating and get the knowledge about the control panel and their controlling techniques from this workshop.
