Workshop on “PV Solar Plant Design using PVSYST”

The department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering has organized a One Day National Level Workshop on “PV Solar Plant Design using PVSYST” on 23.09.2017 for EEE students. Chief Guest Er.S.Selvakumar, Project Specialist Engineer, ABB Global Industries Ltd., Chennai and Er.A. Rajkumar, Senior Design Engineer, Alstom Transportation, Bangalore has delivered lectures on PV solar plant design. He broadly list out the various methods of power production, also explained Photovoltaic solar plant. Afternoon session students designed their own PV systems. At the end of the workshop students was imparted the knowledge on the solar system regarding designing of solar PV plants in the country and give an insight regarding the various technologies of solar power, installation and commissioning procedures, construction and latest developments in the field of solar power. In this workshop 118 students from second, third and final year EEE has participated.
